State of emergency in Port Vila
Sara Lightner forwarded a message from Ralph Regenvanu about violence flaring up in and around Vila. Looks as if man Tanna and man Ambrym are in a rao about sorcery. See Reuters coverage in this article.
My partner is Ni-Vanuatu and rom Ambrym.
During the riots our house in Blacksands was broken into and his clothes were stolen, while his brothers house was burnt to the ground. His family has lost everything and is now sleeping in the bush trying to rebuild their lives.
It’s been a hard time for everyone.
